Serenity understands that low income families will immediately be worried about how they are to pay for a funeral. The government supplies a modest sum for the cost of a funeral in the event of a family not being able to afford the cost. Serenity also has a client fund that it holds for special circumstances.

Serenity will advise you on the next steps in this case and will also make recommendations to the Serenity board if there are special circumstances which require additional funding for the funeral. If special circumstances are accepted by Serenity, we will liaise with you about a top up fund to ensure the best possible funeral is obtained for your loved one.
